TACTICAL SHOTGUN TRAINING
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Tactical Shotgun class is geared towards the armed citizen utilizing a shotgun for self-defense. Semi-auto and pump action shotguns in any gauge are appropriate for this class. Our course curriculum includes carry and deployment, shotgun marksmanship, loading, reloading, clearing malfunctions, positional shooting, transitions to handguns, and shooting on the move. We conduct the loading, reloading, and malfunctions drills first with dummie rounds, so as to cut down the round count some to save your shoulders.
BEGINNERS WELCOME
We have both total beginners and experienced shooters in our classes. If you're new to shotguns, by the end of the day you will be very familiar with your weapon. We take it slowly and patiently with beginners, and make it a positive experience. Even the experienced shooters learn a lot. We make sure all of our students know the safest and most efficient way to use firearms.
Buyer Beware
Firearms training is very popular here in Colorado, and there are plenty of other companies are offering beginner courses. Unfortunately, many of those courses don’t include any shooting, or have only minimal shooting. These courses are often taught by amateurs. Our instructors have extensive police and military backgrounds. We have the most thorough basic handgun/permit course available.

Pump action or Semi-auto shotgun in any gauge. No break actions. Sidearm with holster for transitions.

We recommend you bring a variety of birdshot, 00 buck, and slugs.
Eye & Ear Protection
We have “mickey mouse” style hearing protection at the range for you to borrow if you don’t own any. Sunglasses are fine for eye protection, we have clear safety glasses if you forget to bring your sunglasses.
Headwear
We recommend a baseball cap, (to protect your face from flying casings).
Provisions
Water and something to eat, as we are in a remote location.
