Rifle & Carbine

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

urban rifle class consists of close quarters battle shooting and manipulation drills, all within 100 yards. Our precision rifle class consists of long distance shooting with all that entails, out to 500 yards. Rifle and Carbine classes from Ragnar Tactical are an excellent way to improve your shooting skills in a fun and safe environment.

Our Urban Rifle class is geared towards the carbine for self-defense purposes. Most attend with an AR15, although we occasionally see AK variants and other carbines. All shooting is within 100 yards, the majority of which is within 20 yards. Training is focused on both marksmanship and weapon handling skills such as: reloads, clearing malfunctions, transitions to handguns, shooting on the move, shooting from cover and concealment, positional shooting, engaging multiple targets, and much more. Our Level 1 Carbine class is geared towards the beginner and intermediate shooter. Our Level 2 Carbine class is for the intermediate and advanced shooter. Our precision rifle class is geared towards long range shooting. The perfect course for hunters to prepare for their upcoming hunts. We cover shooting with optics, range estimation, gauging wind, and positional shooting. Note: Students MUST show up with their rifle already zeroed for precision rifle.

Level 2: Precision Rifle

Close-range fundamentals only take you so far. Push your rifle skills past 300 yards and you’re managing wind, elevation, and target size all at once, with no room for guesswork. This class teaches you to read conditions, dial for distance, and hold a stable position when there’s no bench to lean on.

You’ll spend the day working your optic, calling range, adjusting for wind, and shooting from field-expedient positions instead of a rest. Whether you’re closing the gap before hunting season or building precision skills for their own sake, this is where fundamentals meet distance.

Note: Rifle must already be zeroed before class starts. Class time is for building skill, not sighting in. This is an intermediate-level course for shooters with their fundamentals already locked in.
