RIFLE & CARBINE
What You Need To Know
Our urban rifle class consists of close quarters battle shooting and manipulation drills, all within 100 yards. Our precision rifle class consists of long distance shooting with all that entails, out to 400-500 yards. Rifle and Carbine classes from Ragnar Tactical are an excellent way to improve your shooting skills in a fun and safe environment.
Our Urban Rifle class is geared towards the carbine for self-defense purposes. Most attend with an AR15, although we occasionally see AK variants and other carbines. All shooting is within 100 yards, the majority of which is within 20 yards. Training is focused on both marksmanship and weapon handling skills such as: reloads, clearing malfunctions, transitions to handguns, shooting on the move, shooting from cover and concealment, positional shooting, engaging multiple targets, and much more. Our Level 1 Carbine class is geared towards the beginner and intermediate shooter. Our Level 2 Carbine class is for the intermediate and advanced shooter. Our precision rifle class is geared towards long range shooting. We generally hold this class in September, perfectly timed for hunters to prepare for their upcoming hunts. We cover shooting with optics, range estimation, gauging wind, and positional shooting. Note: Students MUST show up with their rifle already zeroed for precision rifle, and this course is an intermediate level course, and not for absolute beginners.
Beginners Welcome
We have both total beginners and experienced shooters in every course. We take it slowly and patiently with beginners, and make it a positive experience, even the experienced shooters learn a lot. All skill levels are welcome, so don’t hesitate to sign up for a shooting class today.
