WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN OUR CCW CLASS

Firearm Safety

The four universal safety rules applied in real-world context. Range commands, safe direction, and safe handling for both semi-auto pistols and revolvers.

Marksmanship Fundamentals

Grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breathing, and follow-through. We drill until it's automatic.

Combat Reloads

Speed and tactical reloads for semi-auto pistols and revolvers. You'll practice until the motion is clean under stress.

I've never shot a gun before. Can I take this CCW class?

Absolutely. We have both total beginners and experienced shooters in every class. Our instructors take it slowly and patiently with new shooters. We make sure every student leaves with the skills and confidence to carry responsibly — don't let your experience level hold you back from registering.

How much does the CCW class cost and what does it include?

The class is $350 per person. Repeats and permit renewals are $300 if taken within 6 months. Full payment is due at registration. Included: 8 hours of instruction, live range time, all curriculum materials, and your CCW completion certificate. Gun rentals are available for $20 — reserve before booking.

How is Ragnar Tactical's CCW class different from other Colorado CCW courses?

Most CCW courses in Colorado offer minimal or no live-fire instruction and are taught by instructors without professional operational backgrounds. Our class is 8 hours of intensive instruction led by law enforcement and military veterans who have worked as full-time police academy instructors. We include more live range time, more legal instruction, and more real-world application than any other CCW class in the Denver metro area.

I need to renew my Colorado CCW permit. Can I do that here?

Yes. HB 24-1174 requires two hours of range time with a shooting qualification for renewals. Our Level 1 class satisfies this requirement fully. Attend at the $300 repeat rate (within 6 months) and you'll be done in approximately 5.5 hours with your renewal qualification certificate in hand.

Where is the CCW class held? Is it near Denver?

Classes are held at the Pilum Range — 27763 County Rd 178, Deer Trail, CO 80107. This is approximately 45 minutes east of Denver. Important: Apple Maps shows an outdated location for Ragnar Tactical. Use Google Maps for accurate directions. Sgt. Dunne's direct cell is 303-884-1522 if you get lost en route.

How do I pay and register for the CCW class?
