ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE

What You Need To Know

According to the FBI, there is an active shooter situation approximately every three weeks in the U.S. These incidents are on average over within two minutes and claim an average of eight lives. At Ragnar Tactical, we offer active shooter response training for Denver residents that teaches life-saving skills for both armed and unarmed citizens. In this class, you will learn tactical response, medical aid, modern technology, and best practices for responding to an active shooter situation. Our gun safety class instructors in Denver have real-life experience and valuable insights from both successes and failures.

Generally speaking, there are two main types of active shooters: the mentally disturbed and the Jihadist. The latter is much more dangerous, thanks to their high level of training, quality equipment, teamwork, and motivation for confrontation. Mentally disturbed shooters will typically give up, kill themselves, or escape if they encounter resistance. Thankfully, as of right now, there are few Jihadist active shooters in the U.S., but this may change, and it’s important to be prepared for whatever may happen. Citizens should develop their knowledge and skills now to reduce our dependence on law enforcement and first responders and to protect our communities from these threats. The active shooter response training offered at Denver’s Ragnar Tactical will give you confidence in handling active shooter conflicts.

Because most active shooter situations are over so quickly, we must be prepared to act and protect ourselves without relying on law enforcement. With proper gun safety classes and active shooter response training from our Denver instructors, you can reduce panic and increase the chance of survival for yourself and others. Our courses are designed to mentally prepare you for various types of potential shooter situations.

Our Denver-area active shooter response training classes are focused on stopping the threat quickly, evasion and escape tactics, and tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) for gunshot and knife wounds. This course could be the best investment you’ll ever make, helping you stay calm and focused in the face of danger. Reach out to Ragnar Tactical to learn more or enroll today!
